Eight: I think I can save a lot of money with this.

May 02, 2010 9:43 PM

Being someone's driver really has its benefits. :)

I drove my sister to Greenhills today because she wanted to have a haircut. Okay, actually, she initially wanted to go to Piandre in Libis, but it was about to close by the time we got there, so we decided to have her haircut at Jesi Mendez Promenade, where my mom and I usually go. We weren't supposed to take my car today - my sister initially wanted to take hers, since she was gonna have it refueled. I was also saving on gas, because unlike her, who has a credit card to cover her gas expenses, I rely on my 2k a week allowance to pay for mine. -_-

Luckily for me, her car was being blocked by the emergency car (Thank you, Fate!), and my dad was going to have that car cleaned, so we decided to take mine instead, with the agreement that she would be paying for gas (but then, she didn't, because she used her credit card to pay for it).

AND HAHA, MY CAR HAS A FULL TANK NAO. HAPPINESS.

I seriously cannot remember the last time my car had a full tank. I think it was when I was with my dad, and he saw that my car was nearly out of gas. XD I never have it full whenever I pay for it, mainly because it would eat up most of my allowance if I do. I usually spend 500 a week, then watch my car suffer on gas scarcity. Stupid oil price hike. Why can't it be like the good ol' days, when 500 a week can already fill up your tank? (Yes, I was already alive by then, strangely.)

Oh wait, I forgot. Stupid money-hungry Arabian capitalists. -_-

Seriously, I will rejoice when the day comes that everyone will be using solar-powered cars... just as long as I don't live here (since we park our cars in a basement). XD

Seven: Sleep is for the week.

May 01, 2010 11:20 PM

(What is fake/awkward smile?)

Is ever you're wondering, yes, I deliberately misspelled the word "weak" in my title. Inside joke between me and Andre. Anyhow, it's 11:20 PM now and Andre is already forcing me to sleep. However, being the stubborn mule that I am, I refused. Hahaha! So to celebrate my refusal, I took a picture of myself wearing pajamas! :3

I love wearing cute pajamas - not only are they comfy, but they're very fun to sleep in because of their prints. Heehee. I like this pair in particular (it's the round blue and green checkered thingy in the bottom middle part of the picture) mainly because I like the combination. Funny thing is, I bought it at a Target store in Las Vegas because I ran out of pajamas and there was no laundry machine at the hotel we were booked in. Should have bought more! XD Ah well.

And yes, this is my room. :3 It's blue, and a bit bare. -_- Or at least that particular wall (the one where my head of my bed is against) is. I'm planning on hanging something there soon. And there's my bed, which is also blue. I love my sheets - stars and moons. It used to be my sister's, but she gave them to me to match my color scheme. :3 My room needs more fixing up done to it, though. I'll probably post more pictures soon, if I'm not too lazy.

Tch. Fineeeee. I'll go to sleep now. -_- Good night world!

Six: How fast time flies.

April 28, 2010 10:13 PM

Forgive me for using such overheard words for this entry's title, but it really does echo what I'm thinking right now.

How fast time flies.

I had lunch with my mother this afternoon, which isn't really out of the ordinary since we do eat together whenever I'm at home. Anyway, we did what we usually do over lunch - that is, to say, talk about the most random things under the sun. While we were talking (I think we were discussing iMac discrimination by video game developers), she suddenly realized that I was actually home and not somewhere else doing a project or watching a movie.

So she goes, "Tammy, are you not going out today? Weren't you going to a party with Andre or something?"

Me, a bit startled, told her, "Uhhh, Ma, no. Besides, the party's on the 22nd. That's 21 more days."

21 more days. It suddenly dawned on me that I only have around a month left for summer. It's as if the first half of summer passed me by like a blur.

Looking back on what I've done so far this summer, it feels as if I haven't done anything really interesting. Sure, I've gone out a couple of times (mostly with Andre, but meh, I don't think that counts since he's practically attached to my being now... not that I'm complaining, anyway X3), and I do go to school everyday for summer classes (so at least I know my brain won't be rotting for two months), but that's all there is to it. Somehow, I want more. I want to do more interesting things. I want to believe that I have the capacity to be not boring and lead a more fun-filled life.

Bottom line? I WANT TO GO TO ENCHANTED KINGDOM. Kidding. Okay not really. Maybe. I have this sudden urge to ride a very scary roller coaster. Someone please indulge me! :) Or hmm, dunno. Hopefully I'll be able to think of more stuff to do in this one month of freedom that I still have. Already dreading 1st sem because of General Chemistry.

(In other news: SA21 Midterms on the 4th. T_T I'm not expecting to get an A - God knows that my mind, though not fully rotting, is currently a failing a bit in terms of intellectual activity - but I'm hoping. Pleaaaaaaaaaaase lang.)

Five: It's a wishlist but not really.

April 17, 2010 10:49 AM

Since I think I'm gonna have a lot of money during the summer (or hmm, asa pa ako), I'm gonna post my chever choovaloo wishlist here. Or, hmm, it's not really a wishlist, actually - it's more of a "things to buy" list, since I really hate it when people spend for me. Oops, independent woman? Haha.

1. A new pair of glasses.

It's so annoying that I keep on losing my glasses every year! The longest time I kept a pair was last year, for 8 months methinks. :| I think I need to super glue them to my head, so that I would never have to lose them again. =)) But, grawr, glasses are so expensive these days. I have to look for cheaper (but still durable) frames pa, if ever they actually exist. *sigh* I really have to be more careful with them from now on.

2. A new skirt (or two, kung kaya)

I find it very amusing when people tell me, "OMG TAMMY GIRL KA NA! :O" just because they see me wearing skirts often now. Heehee. Main reason why I like skirts is because they're, uh, breezy. Ang init eh. I already stored my pants at the back of my closet because I just can't bring myself to wear them anymore, at least not in this weather.

3. Drawers

Hehehe. This is just one of the things I need to buy for my room, since I just moved in it recently and all my school supplies are temporarily stored in a shoebox. :| It's an eyesore, seriously. And super hassling. Imagine having to dig through all those pens, erasers, scotch tape rolls etc. just to look for a paper clip. :| Hence the need for drawers, so that I can organize everything properly. :3

4. Closet shoe organizer

I actually have space to put my shoes in our family shoe cabinet, but my mom says that I should keep my heels in my own closet. Baka daw masira kasi if not stored properly, which alarmed me because my heels are bloody expensive (the cheapest one I have is worth 2.5 k from Charles and Keith) and I will DIE kung masira sila. Must sacrifice closet space though. I have too much stuff in my closet as is.

6. A nightlight

Fact: I am achluophobic. Meaning, I am afraid of the dark, especially when no one is near me within a 1-meter radius. I always have to have someone near me when it's dark, even in movie theaters (hence, I can never sit near the aisles), and I have to sleep with some source of light on, or else I'll have panic attacks and go ballistic. I am currently using a desk lamp when I go to sleep, which is actually a good source of light since it illuminates everything inside my room, but I don't like the fact that it emits too much heat. Naiinitan tuloy ako kapag natutulog ako. At least if it's a nightlight, di mainit. XD

7. Hello Kitty Car Accessories

Lots of people know that I really hate pink, but I only find it acceptable if it has anything to do with Hello Kitty. AS IN, SORRY FOR BEING GAY BUT I LOVE HELLO KITTY. ^//^ BUT SO EXPENSIVEEEEEEEEE. T___T I have to save up so much money for this. T_T Pero mabibili ko din, eventually! XDDDD Mamamatay ako sa tuwa kung bakla na kotse ko.
